More new boots

This time it was Dan and Abi's turn for new boots. Having bought the Wainwright book, it's time to start thinking about the walking kit, so I thought I'd start at the bottom and work upwards. Thus, this afternoon, we went to Daleswear in Ingleton to buy the boots.

I have to say, they were remarkably helpful and in the end it wasn't quite as expensive as I'd feared. At the rate they're both growing - with those Dutch genes - I don't think the boots will get a chance to wear out!

In the afternoon, the Minx came up with her daughter, so we took a shortish walk down to Devil's Bridge and along by the river. The new boots seemed fine, so next time we'll go a little further.
