Carrauntoohil

Only enough time today to do a walk to Lough Gouragh and Lough Callee at the base of Carrauntoohil. There was snow on Irelands highest peaks and with a strong cold wind it would not have been a good day to attempt the summit, a warmer summer day sometime. The landscape was quite bleak too but in a few brief glimpses of sunshine the mountains slopes and the loughs looked beautiful.
A picnic lunch when back at the car park before heading to Kilarney station for ED to take the train to Dublin, as usual we certainly packed a lot into a few days it was a great break!
