Crummock Water - the rock

As our behaviour was so exemplary yesterday we were allowed to go to Crummock Water unescorted and brandish our tripods at the dog walkers in Lanthwaite Woods. The rock in the picture proved extremely popular with the group. The dead sheep in the water a few feet away less so. The weather made for more interesting skies than yesterday and I even had occasion to get out the fancy rain cover once or twice.

Sadly have now discovered that my tripod head is not fit for purpose and I need a less droopy one. It is a good thing that lent will be over soon!
