Chinley Churn

A pleasant walk with Martin and Andy today, up and along Chinley Churn, despite some light snow and chilly winds.

The area has some very fine houses, including Newstead, which was Andy's childhood home and this farmhouse, which has superb views.

We passed a village wall with a map of Asia, in Aubretia, lichen on the rocks, an agitated sheep dog, and then, after lunch at the Old Hall Inn, pipes D and E and a completely pointless gate.

I like the Peak District a great deal.
