The red barn

This is a view of a neighbor's farm and barn, taken from one of our fields. The barn sticks out pretty well because of how dull the rest of the landscape is at the moment. I'll pay attention in the spring and summer as to how well the barn can be seen once the leaves are all on the trees again.

Woke up to half an inch of snow this morning and it's been a blustery bitterly cold day. Rain in the forecast in a few days.
