Keltoi - Prince - The Lord of Glauberg
Keltoi - Prince - The Lord of Glauberg
This statue was found around 15 years ago buried in a tumulus at Glauberg. It is one buried alongside 3 Princes they (archaeologists) think, and about circa 5th century BC. This hill fort was occupied by a race called the Celts - not to be confused with our British variant of Celts in Ireland and Scotland. The area south of the river Maine was very fertile land, therefore precious for arable crop production as well as rich in minerals and livestock. It was very worth defending, as shown by many battles over the territory for the last 2 centuries. At the top of the hill are the remains of a medieval castle, Glauborg. It is all very fascinating.

Q. Which one is the Prince and which one the Archaeologist?
Q. What is the statue/artefact made from?
Q. Why the big ears - on the statue that is?
Q. What has all this to do with materiality - Lounardo?
Materiality, and its exploration, might be the theme for the next 365 perhaps.....
