Mixed Messages

Found these lovely tiles in a shop selling hand painted tiles dating back to the 16th century. Many of them had not been exposed to sunlight and still retained their original colours.

I particularly liked these two as traditionally in all ancient religions and beliefs the sun is portrayed as masculine and the moon as feminine. These two however, must have done some swopping around as it is definitely an old man in the moon and a young girl in the sun!

Golf much better today, again sunny, cold and very breezy! Will not be going home with much of a tan!
