Home to Roost

Not far from where I live are these trees that have some wonderfully large rooks nests dotted around the branches and recently whilst out for a walk I noticed how against the grey sky, it was a wonderful sight, seeing these birds fly to and from their roosting spots.

So today I decided to head round there and capture the scene...there was a bit of blue in the sky (after a fair bit of rain during the afternoon) but I liked the mood of a black and white image ....there's a touch of Hitchcock's "birds" about the place...

....better not hang about too much.
