Mixed Farming

Mixed farming not so much in this country anymore. It used to be the norm but dairying has so taken over so that the mixed sheep and beef farms are fewer in number.
This afternoon had to dash over to Geraldine and on the way home noticed this mixture of animals close to the road so stopped for a quick photo. Obviously the young calves look like dairy replacements but just the same there was sheep alongside all grazing peacefully.
This morning spent some time down in the village selling raffle tickets for Hospice a charity that is close to the heart of many.
Have an enjoyable weekend I am off to watch the rugby on TV with a friend. I do not have Sky TV but have a friend who always invites me to watch it so am lucky as it is my favourite spectator sport rough and all as it is.
