Through the office window
As I was about to leave the Morning Job today, the RAF Rescue helicopter flew across and hovered for around 10 minutes over what we thought was the cliff top. So A and I watched through the window, marvelling at the pilot's skill in controlling the craft so precisely.
Then a person was lowered down - we assumed they were going to assist someone.
Maybe someone on the coastal path had injured themselves or become ill or, worse still, fallen over the cliff top. Or was it just a practice exercise?
As we watched, the helicopter hovered for a few moments longer, then descended to below the level of the rooftop and, after a few seconds, flew off in a southerly direction.
Maybe we were wrong. Zooming in on this photo, it looks as though they may have been inspecting one of the overhead wires over the railway track? Maybe next week's local papers will enlighten us?
