Broken

On a truly dreary walk, taken late on a cold, raw afternoon simply in order to have had some exercise before sinking into curry-filled sloth, this broken tree stood out in the woods to the right of the track. I didn't go right into the forest to examine it - Mr PB was already complaining of having to wait - but I think some of the remains of the top of the tree can be seen to the right of the still-raw trunk. In the dim light of the forest, the pale wood seemed almost to shine - and tell me that this could be the only photo I would feel like taking all day!
