The Long Side of Money
For the past couple of weeks, I have been noticing an increase in the number of homemade furniture pieces under the covered walk for our LA department building A. I am assuming a class is responsible for this uprising in furniture making, which is ironic because Landscape Architects were once widely known for designing furniture pieces, playground equipment, light fixtures, and etc. If we continue to display furniture pieces in order to sell to them to the public, it would improve the value of our proposed courtyard space by encouraging people to walk around and explore the grounds. For example, various pieces could be stationed along the organic wall that flows through the site. Plus, they would continue to act as great conversational pieces, which could segue into a discussion about the "actual" profession of Landscape Architecture as designers, not people who know a lot about mowing lawns.
