Next week, we will begin the process of putting this type of stone into metal wire cages to form a structural gabion wall. It offers a great contrast against the existing building materials. In my humble opinion, the "raw lumber look", in conjunction with this stone, shares the theme of a construction site . I believe the wooden cap, for the gabion wall, needs a stain for a "warmer contrast." Also, a warmer (orange hue) LED light strip will further carry this "warm" theme. Another option is to blend the cap into the gabion wall by using a grey stain, which will further contrast the wall from the building. Overall, I just hope the construction of the wall ends with success regardless of style.
