Holidays . . .
Breakfast outside in the sunshine but dire warnings of more wind and rain on the way so, while we still have the hire car, we decided to head for the coast. The waves were a bit too fierce and the sea a bit too cold to risk a swim but we lay on the beach, enjoying the heat of the sun and did a crossword or two!
After lunch we drove back and had a swim in the pool at the guest house then played table tennis to warm up a bit! There are three other couples staying just now but realistically we seem to have the place to ourselves! We took Sacha, the owners' black lab for a walk round the groves of orange trees and had a hunt for lizards in the old stone walls. They are very common here and we saw quite a few of different sizes, apparently there is a very big one living in the roof . . . . !
Down to the local restaurant for roast suckling pig for dinner. Absolutely delicious, lots of herbs and garlic and a huge salad and wine only 80 cents a glass! Very informal and friendly, a happy end to a lovely sunny day.
