Levin Down From The Trundle
Today Mum and I went down to Chichester and as the weather was good, I made a stop at one of the car parks near the Iron Age Hillfort known as The Trundle on the southern edge of the South Downs.
This view is looking north across the valley to Levin Down. This is a rounded hill between the villages of Singleton and Charlton. The land is managed as a Nature Reserve by the Suusex Trust For Nature Conservation. In season it contains a real myriad of superb chalk downland plants as well as some you'd not expect to find there. The woods on the horizon are Singleton Woods and these run up to the scarp of the downs.
