Victoria Palace Theatre, London

Designed by Frank Matcham and opened on 6th November 1911 on the site of the old Royal Standard Music Hall opposite Victoria Station, the Victoria Palace has been the home of Variety.

In 1937, it had its biggest hit, Me and My Girl, starring English music hall star Lupino Lane. Lane had started life as the variety act Little Nipper. The main song from the show, Lambeth Walk became an overnight hit.

In the 50s, Jack Hylton produced The Crazy Gang shows from here starring, amongst others, the mighty Flanagan & Allen.i]
