seven

for the recycling bin.

Advent Blip - Day 7

The Wee County in which I stay punches above its weight when it comes to recycling, with 44% of its household waste currently recycled or composted; one of the highest rates in Scotland.

Which is nice.

This time of year, the amount of extra paper that is used wrapping presents and sending out this infernal junk mail must keep the recycling guys very busy. This little lot - seven full colour, multi-paged leaflets were delivered as inserts inside the free local newspaper. Poor free local newspaper delivery boy - they added at least three times the weight of paper to each delivery. And, being an ex free local newspaper delivery boy (270 Stirling Shoppers every Friday for £1.75 per week) I can wholly sympathise.

So... all of these leaflets will be added to the mass of paper in the big blue recycling bin - two from Tesco, one from Asda, one from Morrisons, one from the Co-op, one from Scotmid and one from Specsavers - and will no doubt be turned into something much more useful and practical. Like toilet paper.
