This detail of the beautiful stained glass panel was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh's friend David Gauld.

David Gauld was the first Glasgow artist to begin abstracting the human figure. The panel was designed around 1891 and represents a key point between the realism of the Glasgow Boys and the highly sylized figures of the Glasgow Four.

The panel is currently on display in the Mackintosh Gallery of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
