White-lined Sphinx

It might look like a hummingbird, but it is actually a hummingbird moth. Found a couple zooming around a huge jasmine bush on campus today. At first I thought , oh goodie a hummingbird, but then I remembered these guys who used to fly around to all the flowers in our backyard at dusk. We thought they were hummingbirds, but when I went to look them up, it turned out they were moths. It still freaks me out a little thinking these big things are moths. My girlfriends cat used to catch them and bring them in to her all proud of himself. Yuck...
