A Monday blip

Sorry for the possibly grotesque image, depending on whether you find it grotesque or interesting, but it's what we did today! We dissected owl pellets at Home Ed group. All of the kids seemed to really get into it, including Chickpea. She found a lot of bones in hers and enjoyed consulting the sheet to find out which ones they were. We found some rodent and shrew skulls and jawbones and she identified a rodent hip bone all on her own! Here are some of them (mostly) cleaned up. After group we met for a picnic in the park. Monkey went on the tall slide many. many times even though I was a bit nervous, he was sure footed and adventurous so I had to hide my fears.
