85 Years Apart

My grandson, 7, and my mother-in-law, 92, visited briefly today in the memory care unit where she lives. He is here with his mother for a 3 days at her parents' beach house. When we first entered the memory unit, I saw hesitation and a little fear when he looked at the incapacity of some of the residents, but he visited a little more freely with his great-grandmother as the minutes passed. His posture and facial expression demonstrate his emotions and discomfort.
