Worship Space

This is the Worship Space in the Quaker Centre at Friends House in London. For me, it has a beautiful simplicity; I love the way the indirect light is gently diffused throughout the room.

I had a good day volunteering in the Quaker Centre today, helping with enquiries and assisting the bookshop staff with pricing and shelving stock. And I was able to meet two Friends for lunch and catch up with their news, which was a delight. They are a very devoted gay couple, who recently celebrated their marriage at their Local Meeting; it was tremendously moving to hear them talk about about what a joyful occasion it had been.

Add to that a walk back through Regents Park to Marylebone in the spring sunshine; truly a day of gifts to be thankful for.
