I just found out that I have Photoshop on my office desktop. I wish I had the time to invest in in learning to use it. I think my photos would benefit greatly from it, and it's free - which is exactly $768 cheaper than the camera I want to buy. I don't know why I thought I could wait until next summer to buy a new camera.


C and I flew to NYC for a XXX birthday celebration. MUCH needed time away from my dissertation. I worked like crazy on Thursday and was able to leave for the trip with a tremendous sense of accomplishment and peace. That might have been the greatest part of the gift!

I've been to the city before, but this was C's first trip. It was a total treat to watch him as we walked down Broadway from our hotel to Times Square. He was giddy, which made me giddy. We walked for a few hours, "happened upon" an H&M, shopped, and spent some time looking at all the window displays in Macy's. This photo is from the Macy's entrance. (I wish there was some way to tone down the glare of the lights...teach me!!)
