Guess where...?

... The Boy has got his engineering placement for the coming year?

He will be based at Luton - "near enough to cycle home for the weekend" says he.

Anyway, it was a day off work for me (pre-booked - not playing hooky with just a cold!) so that I could take Sophie Too (car) to garage in Aldershot to get two new wiper motors fitted. An expensive morning, but driving without wipers at all is both a) scary (driving in the rain last week I scared the b'jeezuz out of myself) and b) probably illegal. So it had to be done. In Sophie's defence, she has been very economical to service up to now...

So The Boy and I took a wander in Aldershot, round Manor Park and the adjoining church before getting the call to say it was all fixed in just an hour.

Then home for a brew and some elevenses :)

P.S. Actually took several snaps today, but I like this one the best for its simplicity, and the opportunity to share my proud mama moment of his placement.
