Home made tortoise house

Hatty and I designed, and built this house yesterday afternoon, and finished it today with a tiny bit of help from Julian with screws which we found difficult to tighten! We found 2 sturdy wooden trays, and 2 pieces of wood in our wood pile, which we sawed in half and created 4 posts which we screwed into the corners. We made an entrance in the middle of the base by sawing part of the panel away. The roof is removable. Now the tortoises can park in their new house to sleep each night!
