Bringing Spring Into the House

In spite of the chill
a gift of tulips brings me
warmth inside for spring.

My friend, Mary, brightened my day with a bouquet of tulips. My garden is barely showing signs of life. My spring flowers will be a long time coming this year. Something has been into the flower beds disturbing bulbs. (cat?) I do see some little green points poking through the mulch, but it all has a long way to go yet before it looks like a garden again. It was freezing overnight.

What a treat to bring these home to brighten up the new kitchen!
