What a tit!
Starlings, starlings, starlings! Well that's all I was seeing since my return from lovely Scotland. This little fellow decided to put in an appearance when I was going to give up and post yet another beautiful starling or an emergency Bony blip.

Anyway, as it was Wednesday and it was my first day back at work, I went to the office today. I think it's amazing how I can be off work for two and a half weeks and on the morning of my return, I woke up with a start three minutes before the alarm went off. I have an alarm clock mind! It was OK actually. I went to McDonalds on the way in as usual and sat down with my tea for a few minutes before trundling up to the Council House. My doors were already open yawning at me so in I went and the day began.
I have nothing wild to report. No surprises or shocks were lurking in wait for me so it was just a case of wading through a couple of hundred emails. I'll do some proper work tomorrow. Paul who sits next to me offered me a stale Jaffa Cake but that was about it for excitement. I wandered out at lunchtime with my camera but then bought two big bags of bird nuts on special offer, a six pack of suet cakes and a big bag of mealworms. Delicious! I had too much to carry and it had started drizzling so didn't bother taking any pictures on the high street. I suggested taking photos of colleagues but being threatened with violence and a painful death made me give up on that idea.
That's it! My first day back is over and I have survived.
Oh! My pigeon appeared on the bird bath late on. He is looking a little better and not quite so sorry for himself. Also, he is drinking plenty of water and eating bits of dropped bird seed. Other birds were flying close to him but none of them picked on him today. He must have warned them all off saying 'You should see the other flapper!' Fingers crossed.....
Track? Someone on the bus was listening to this wonderful INXS song today. I hadn't heard it for ages - Never Tear Us Apart
