Finished Project

Hannah borrowed my camera today to take some pictures at the mini exhibition her and her classmates had to show off progress on their final uni project of the year so this is one of her photos. It seems just like yesterday she started but after today she is off for 3 weeks holiday then back for another few weeks helping the 4th years prepare for the end of year exhibition.

This is the (almost) finished piece she picked up at Steptoes yard a few weeks ago. It was originally a very tatty joiners box, some old maps and 4 coffee table legs. The legs have had extensions to make it the right height (although a small error in measurement meant that the legs are about 6" too long), the maps have been stained, chopped up and stuck inside and the box has been sanded and sealed and all the metalwork de-rusted.

So what is this thing of beauty that this old rubbish has been converted into? Its a portable desk of course!
