Down by the Wetlands at Sunset Point
As the cloud and sea fog rolled in from opposite directions, I stopped at the rail trail at sunset point to grab this 13 frame panorama across the Kaituna wetland towards the entrance of Kaituna Valley.
These wetlands are seasonal and are dependent on the lake levels of Ellesmere/Te Waihora; cracked, dried mud in the summer turn to waterfowl-laden marshes in the winter months.
Thanks so much to everyone for the overwhelming response to my 'Milky Way Rising' image from yesterday. It was just so fantastic to see it residing in the spotlight for so long and to see all the stars, hearts and other praise rolling in. It's this kind of response that makes you realise what an amazingly supportive community that Blipfoto is.
