Midnight Poplar

A lone poplar set against the cloudy night sky, captured just a few minute before midnight close to the old school house, just down the road.

This was one of those occasions when you kick yourself for leaving home. 15 minutes earlier before I set off, the stars were shining bright in a clear sky that was parked about our house. Oh well.

Let's face it, the view from home isn't so bad, so really I should have stayed put. After all, a shot from my gate got me a staff pick :-)
