A grey day on the marsh

This graveyard is at St Botolph's church Skidbrooke and is a reduntant church looked after by The Church Conservation Trust. At one time there was a thriving farming community round the church but after the agricultural depression in the late 1800's people left the village to find work on the coast. The church stands in complete isolation in the marsh. English Heritage have listed the church as a Grade 1 listed building . It dates from the 13 century and clearly by the number of old graves there was an active little farming village around the church.
Today the church is an empty shell with pigeons ,crows and probably bats enjoying the shelter.
There are numerous rumours of ghosts having been seen in the church and of satanic activity!
There is however a current graveyard with very recent graves and beautifully kept - a very peaceful place to rest forever -- ghosts permitting!!
I bet the occupants of these graves saw many a dreary, grey day on the marsh!
