Michelin Star Celebration
Yet another grey day. We drove to Glasgow by the M74. Unfortunately there had been collision between a beer lorry and a flour lorry. In order not to get stuck in the batter we had to make a very slow detour, so arrived at my friend's house just in time to don the glad rags and have a celebratory drink (the treat was in honour of Mr B and Mr C's big birthday that they'd rather forget about) before the taxi arrived to take us to Braidwoods for our Michelin star dinner.
The blip is my west coast turbot with new season veg and shellfish essence. Starter was roast quail breast with confit of leg on black pudding on roast beetroot, orange and pine nut salad.
Pudding was a chocolate fondant with salted caramel icecream.
A very convivial evening!
