i hate cycling to work these cold winter mornings!

its not waking up in the dark. its not the having to go out into the cold, a thought all the more difficult from a cosy duvet. its not the feeling sleepy (that can be a benefit because the car drivers are sleepy too and so far less aggressive) and nor is it the way i can't see anything if i slow down because my glasses have steamed up. its not the rain or the wind or the way the churned up track means sometimes you have to cycle sideways.

nope. on cold winter mornings like this, mud in your eyes and puddles between your teeth, the bright morning sun, bleary as you are in the mist, dazzling your eyes, it isn't the cycling that is the problem.

it is that you have to stop.
