Skateboard Sneakers

I was sitting near the door on the Metro in Paris, and a young lady wearing pink sneakers put her skateboard down in front of me. A couple of stops later she got off and skated off along the platform. View it large--the words on the skateboard read "SNOWBEACH."

I was on the way with our friend Gregory to the stupendous exhibition, "Paris 1900", at the Petit Palais. Over 600 works in all media, evoking the huge exhibition "Paris Exposition Universelle" which took over large parts of the center of Paris in 1900. Wonderful, but quite exhausting. It's on through 17 August--if you can make it, do not miss it!
