The Clock on the Tower .....

..... of Pollokshaws Burgh Hall. Good to see the Hall Keeper remembered to put the clock forward last weekend.

Zooming in I notice the hour glass and wings above the clock. I've seen this symbol before on gravestones in Glasgow Necropolis. I am told it means "Time Flies".

The Hall is part of the larger estate of Sir John Maxwell, and used today for various meetings, weddings, and even has a cinema organ with recitals once a month.

Woke up at 3 am with severe ear ache, and didn't get back to sleep. Now got the full works: shivers, aches, sore throat, bad cough. Saw the GP this afternoon, and now on antibiotics. Must get myself better over the weekend, plan to take it easy.
