Neep's Noodles
We had our first Family Saturday in absolutely ages today. We hitched an early morning lift into Edinburgh with Bry (who had a basketball game) and he dropped us off at the museum.
It's bloody brilliant being there at that time, hardly anyone there and lots of chances to touch stuff and try things out without having to join a queue. Plus, when you press the button for the lift it actually comes!!
Thankfully, our pal Colm and his wee boy Rory were around to meet us so we all got a good catch up with them before we went our separate ways. Our way was full of yummy Japanese tastiness as we decided to blow the weekend budget on lunch at Wagamamas. Responsible eh?!
Oh my god I love that place. We had Edamame, seaweed, carrot & sesame seed salad (can't remember what it's called) and Gyoza and some kind of chicken brothy, noodly, curry perfection. Arlo had cod cube bite things with sticky rice and veggies and Ida had a chicken & noodle stirfry which she absolutely loved (as the photo suggests).
They were great in the restaurant, really happy and ate everything and behaved like, well, non-monsters. It was amazing. They got fruity ice lollies for pudding and everybody left with full tums and big grins.
Afterwards we took them to a big park for a couple of hours and they were pretty much spent by the time we got back to Burnty. Exactly the sort of day I was hoping for.
When we got home I reminded Arlo that we went to the museum & had a meal at Wagamama for his 4th birthday. When I looked at the photos I realised he was wearing the EXACT same top as Ida wore today.
How weird is that? She chose it herself, too.
