Down by the river
It's been a bit of a drizzly day here today, so with the grey skies hanging low over the hills, I climbed the stile at the bottom of the garden to go and grab this long exposure of the river rolling over the stream bed's volcanic rocks.
Each time I walk along our section of the river I find more changes since the floods a month or so ago. There's been a lot more erosion, and I've also discovered that some more trees have fallen further down stream. Whilst the erosion is a worry, most of the trees were weedy willows, so hopefully these can be cleared and some natives planted in their place. Looks like I might have some work to do this winter...
