Almost there...

Glasgow to Dumbarton today, a distance of 15 miles, mostly along the Forth and Clyde Canal, reopened in 2001. Then along the path of an old railway which ran from Bowling to Balloch. Here are our Youngest walkers taking the opportunity to sit down as we arrived on the outskirts of Dumbarton.
In the city, we were greeted with soup and then a civic reception. This evening there is a public meeting, some entertainment, and doubtless a spot of knitting.
