Air invasion today

After all the activity down on the beach earlier in the week with the Navy and the army I thought now that they had shipped out that all the invasion stuff was over. Not so it seems.
This afternoon I became aware of a noise approaching.... went out the front door to see 4 helicopters making there way towards the house. Hubby bounded out of the front door singing the Apocalypse Now tune as he saw this lot. They turned away and looped back around several times before continuing on their way right passed the front door! Then from the east came 5 more which included 2 chinooks. Again, right over the top of us! So low too. Hubby and I stood on the famous picnic table ever so excited!!! Like big kids really! Have a wee peek here.

Then not long after I spotted this heading straight for us. Again, straight over head! I do like a Hercules. Wonder what all the crew thought as they looked down at us looking up. This is the garage roof showing how close it was!
