Sprung

Seems only yesterday the first daffodils were blooming to welcome the spring. Having just got back, I was struck today by how few are still at their best - in one park, I saw huge numbers of wilted blooms with only a few fresh ones still going strong.

It seems sad in a way, but of course there are many other types of flower blooming now. And even the wilted ones can sometimes look quite pretty in their own way :)
