Climbing in Kampot

We got up and decided to return to the same place we went to yesterday for breakfast and again it was delicious. Once we arrived at the climbing place we had a little chat with the guides and a Dutch girl who was also doing the climbing. The first climb wasn't really climbing as such but was still great fun getting to the top of the natural cave complex. The next part was a climb along the side of the cliff till we reached the first hollow cave. This part was great fun and involved a long abseil down to the bottom. I think Alison was a little apprehensive at first but soon made it look easy.

The next part of the day was a tiny bit of caving which was fun but and consisted of us squeezing through some small spaces. The Cambodian guide took us through this part of the trip and was telling us the history of the caves and other stories about Cambodia. The final part was some actual climbing which was great fun but I would have preferred some help from the experienced French man instead of the Cambodian. Alison has also discovered that she doesn't really like climbing and will just keep up her hobby of New Cumnock "Sclimming".

We went out for some Cambodian curry before I went back on the job hunting front.
