Treasure Hunters
In 1648 during the English Civil War there was a minor skirmish in Linton. Some of it was in our garden (although clearly it was not our garden then ;)). The children have been out with the metal detector hunting for a treasure trove. They found two washers, some lumps of rusty metal and an old belt buckle. The belt buckle has fake gems in it and so we have declared it is treasure and Poppy is very impressed. I need to work out how to make the metal detector work properly as there was a lot of odd beeping!
Pop and H were off to the hairdressers this morning so Alf came to the office with me. He was very good 'working' away on his laptop. Everyone in the office was very kind (as I knew they would be) .He made a point of remarking how this office smells the same as the last office, and the one before that. How can he remember that??? We went out at lunchtime to PMT (guitar shop) and then for some food. On the way we went through the Mill road Cemetery, the graves (especially those from the world wars) prompting a rather deep conversation. I suspect my ashes will either be scattered on the Mulsanne Straight or chucked in the garden ;)
