Sunshine
We woke up to sunshine and birdsong. Oh, what a lovely way to start the day.
Our last day in Amsterdam was spent with more wandering, more smiling, more delicious food and coffee, more of what we wanted to do rather than what we should have done. The only time we were indoors (other than at the airport) was in the occasional shop and even then the doors were open, ushering in spring like a long-awaited guest.
This shot was taken while I was sitting on a bench while Dr T was in a rather amazing CD shop. I basked in the feeling of the sun on my face. I think we are all solar-powered.
The airport had an oasis of sorts hidden away for both of us - a smoking area for Dr T and a meditation room for me. We had a thankfully uneventful flight back and were greeted in Edinburgh by a slightly cool, lovely breeze. We were no sooner home then out again to see a friend who wanted to give me her bike - most generous! It's a great bike but too small for me so it may be going to the Bike Station with the other one. Somewhere there is the bike for me.
It's good to be back. x
