Tortoiseshell Pop

What a difference a day makes, the rain has gone to be replaced with sun and blue skies and it's brought out all the insects again. I chased this tortoiseshell butterfly round and round waiting for it to land on something pretty but it refused to comply, so I colour popped it in this as it didn't stand out very well against the bark. I like all the iridescent hairs on his back, or it could be that he's been in something with lots of pollen and it's brushed off on his back.
I had several photos to choose from (flowers, fields, trees and sheep) as everything looks better in the sunshine but most of the others will still be there when we have another sunny day :-)
