Things are growing. The horse chestnut leaves are emerging too, and the hawthorns are looking like flat-leaf parsley.

Reaching the end of whatever constitutes a tether at work, and feeling a bit mad all round. Definitely time for a holiday. I have offered my sister's girlfriend a lift up to the parents for the Easter weekend, which I am regretting a little now as I feel obliged to return in time to get her back to work on Tuesday - whereas I have the rest of that week off and could take a few hillwalking detours on the way back down if I was by myself.

Went to my mate and youth group volunteers house this evening to work on a funding bid - he is renting a bed/sitting room and most bizarrely a kitchen/bathroom (this can't be legal) in a house. He's in minimum wage and couldn't afford to live where he works in any other situation - rather humbling.
