Frozen
Boys all day; unusual for a Saturday, but welcome given they are on Grandma duty next week in darkest Devon.
We hit John Lewis for a birthday present; Sam's party booked for Saturday afternoon; then, having prised Alex away from the bendy bus, we met S and G on Leith Street, and to the Omni for Kids AM and Frozen.
Alex did well, I had visions of me marching up and down outside with him, but he managed fine. Maybe too many songs for most of us, but....hey. A tenner for morning's entertainment was fine.
We all trooped up to McDs at the station and then We went our way, they went there's - a 19 home and quick present wrap and off to the party at Lomond tennis club.
Alex and I mucked about and went back for him at five; beautiful evening. Watched a seal on the pontoon in the harbour; and in for toad in the hole.
In the party bag, Tom got chalks, so we went outside for a while and drew on the paving / walls; I did a Cigs for the boys on the wall to much hilarity.
Then bath bed and tried to phone the Kirkhouse; no answer....grrr.
E mailed Elena, Duncan, the hotspots of family support; got positive vibes and felt better for it.
After a tough week of hostility and indifference, I think people are starting to hear my message and adjust to the brave new world. And posting that we did the film on FB alerts people that we are doing stuff together - all together - as has always been said.
Still think it will be a minor irritation as we can't have public declarations of doing stuff and people not draw an inference from that, but I mentioned it, and she shrugged, so...
But a good family day.
