Pffft...
Friday; felt hollow, deflated for a long time.
Boys up early didn't help. Alex - so good; got up at 6 telling me he needed bathroom; I think he woke himself to do so, and if he did, then such a good, big step.
Last day of term, so no real issue with getting to school; slightly grey and no scooter, but we trotted up quite readily.
Alex and I went home, did mundane things like laundry and washing up and food prep, but he loves helping out, so all good.
School pick up, and home for lunch.
Low key local afternoon; we hit Jim's for a couple of haircuts, then to B & M for a sketch for birthday cards and kidney beans. (Yeah, www.wildshoppinglists.com/granton)
Home, dinner, TV, stories, chat. All very life affirming. I know when all the crap is flying around, that I need to focus on them, their wellbeing and happiness. So I do.
Friday night was a good chat; we don't seem to get them so much; I think she's torn between needing space and needing me; and at the moment she needs more space than me, so I get to watch MOTD2 on the iplayer and read.
Besides, we see each other tomorrow, spend time together as part of the gang, but still there, exchanging glances, little smiles, furtive comments.
