The Misty Isle

lived up to its name today.

At one time this island was referred to by the Norse name of Skuy the misty isle.

Today it rained all day, I tried to do some photography but it was just too wet. This was taken out of the car window near the Sligachan Hotel where we had a late and prolonged lunch. I wanted to take the well known shot looking up through the old Sligachan bridge at the black Cuillins but even if I and my camera braved the rain you couldn't see the mountains.
