Garden Dome on the Hill

Hills are almost just as scarce in Holland as are authentic Garden Domes. But this is absolutely the one and only 'Garden Dome on a Hill'!!

In the summer it's almost completely hidden behind the leafs of the many surrounding trees, but in winter it's not that nice either, so I waited for this spring opportunity.

It's an official monument - nr 530260 - and located in Wassenaar. It's called the 'Koepel van Backershagen' if you want to google it.

I took this photo halfway up the - artificial - hill and also used a 3 meter long broom to extend my remote controlled Sony QX10 lens for a better perspective.
