Doha Days
The penultimate day of term was also the hottest yet. It happened to be International Day on one of our campuses. Those who know me well will not be surprised to find that this was a day of pageantry and vexilology! It was a great celebration of the diversity of our large and vibrant international community. Here the Qatari contingent are preparing to lead the parade!
On my way home one of the roundabouts was semi submerged by a burst water main. Such waste of water anywhere on our planet is a concern. In a desert setting it concerns me even more. Nobody else seemed too worried at all the water going to waste in a country where it is illegal to wash your car with tap water!.
